The world’s most famous nanny floats magically onto the stage in Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s stage version of the beloved Disney film, a story full of fantasy that relates a modern morality tale as relevant as ever.  The Banks children enjoy a comfortable middle-class upbringing in London.  They’re mildly indisciplined,  but only because their formal, aloof banker father and their loving but distracted sufragette mother pay them little attention.  Mary forces everyone to sit up and take stock with the help of Bert the lovable chimney sweep.  All of the Sherman Brothers’ famous songs are here, from “A Spoonful of Sugar” to “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”, complemented by new songs by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.
