Gold'ne Meisterin, Die

Operette in drei Akten von Julius Brammer und Alfred Gruenwald

Composer: Eysler, Edmund 1874 - 1949

Version: Original

Die Gold’ne Meisterin (The Golden Mistress - 1927), set in sixteenth-century Vienna, was one of Eysler’s later and most successful operettas. Die Gold’ne Meisterin is also well-documented as being the favourite operetta of Adolf Hitler, who only later discovered that Eysler was Jewish.
