All licence applications must be made in writing, and the receipt by Josef Weinberger of an enquiry or application to perform is not a guarantee that performing rights are available. Confirmation of availability will subsequently be made in writing by Josef Weinberger in the form of an Offer of a Performing Licence.
Under the terms and conditions of a performing licence, full credit for the Author(s) of the Work must appear on all advertisements, programmes, handbills and posters, and to indicate clearly in all advertisements connected with the performances that they are given by an amateur company.
The Licensee agrees to return both signed copies of the Offer of a Performing Licence together with full payment of royalties at least one calendar month prior to the first performance. A Dramatic Performing Licence countersigned by Josef Weinberger Limited will be forwarded by return.
Cancellation of or amendments to a Dramatic Performing Licence must be made in writing to the Licensor, and the Licensor reserves the right to charge the Licensee (by way of liquidated damages and not as a penalty) a fee for the cancellation. Cancellation within seven days of the first performance may result in the forfeiture of all advance monies paid. Any refund of pre-paid monies shall be made at Licensor's discretion.
The purchase of any playscripts is final and no refund of any purchased playscripts shall be considered.
The Licensee agrees to send the Licensor, as soon as possible, two copies of the printed programme, handbill or poster and make available two best seats per performance free of charge, if requested by the Licensor.
It is understood and agreed by the Licensee that it is an infringement of current Copyright Laws to record onto audio, video, or any other form of retrievable system, or to broadcast or televise the Work or part(s) thereof without the prior written permission of the Licensor. This includes the uploading of material on to YouTube, Facebook and/or other electronic media sources and websites.
The Licensee agrees not to use any background music, live or pre-recorded, within the Work prior to obtaining a licence from the PRS (Performing Rights Society) or equivalent society.
The Licensee agrees not to alter the Work in anyway, or to use the material for any other purpose, unless prior permission in writing has been granted by the Licensor.
ALL OTHER RIGHTS OTHER THAN THOSE SPECIALLY GRANTED STRICTLY RESERVED BY THE LICENSOR
I have read and understood all sections of this application form for a performing licence and the information submitted is correct to the best of my knowledge.
