Stephen Hough: Missa Mirabilis

Josef Weinberger is proud to announce the world premiere of MISSA MIRABILIS by renowned pianist and composer Stephen Hough.
Commissioned by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Missa Mirabilis, scored for SATB chorus and orchestra, will receive its first performances on April 6 and 7, 2012 at the Hilbert Circle Theatre. Nicholas McGegan will be conducting the performances, with the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir.
The music of Stephen Hough is represented by Josef Weinberger, Ltd. Besides this new symphonic version of Missa Mirabilis, Mr. Hough has also created a sizeable catalogue of chamber works, including his new piano sonata Broken Branches (2011), and Other Love Songs for soprano, mezzo, tenor, baritone and piano (2010). Many of these works are available for purchase, and can be heard on various labels such as BIS and Linn Records.
